Tom LoBasso DVM

Tom LoBasso DVM

Dr. LoBasso, a native New Yorker, received his undergraduate degree from New York University. With his heart set on becoming a veterinarian, he went on to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. For the past several years, Tom has remained an executive board member of the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City and has served as their president twice.

After spending three decades as a small animal practitioner in New York City, Dr. LoBasso decided to relocate to South Florida where he had spent many of his childhood vacations. In addition to his love for small animal medicine and surgery, he believes the best part of his job is connecting with clients, earning their trust, and making the right decisions for every family and pet. He is very happy to be joining the West Boca Veterinary Center and is most excited to be affiliated with such a great group of doctors and coworkers.

On his days off, Dr. LoBasso can be found fishing in local waters, often practicing catch-and-release. In addition, he enjoys spending his time with his wife, Jeanne, cooking at home, and going out to experience the fine culinary fare South Florida has to offer. Dr. LoBasso and his wife share their home with a wily Maine coon and are hoping to adopt an English bulldog.
